M.M. Ghee Mill (Pvt) Ltd. is an edible oil refinery, refining 200 Metric Tons of Canola, Sunflower, Soybean and Palm Oil per day. In addition it has launched and is marketing Cooking oil and Banaspati Ghee under the brand name of ‘Moulvi’. The mill is located inside Port Qasim in the Edible Oil and Molasses area. The entire plant was built and commissioned in the first quarter of 2013 by Alfa Laval – headquartered in Sweden, specializing in large scale operations of separating solutions with subsidiary companies in more than 35 countries around the world. The Plant is build with state of the art automated technology and is centrally controlled using computers – Programmable logic Controllers (PLC). It functions as a continous operation and uses Supervisory Control and Data Acquistion (SCADA) systems to ensure accuracy to produce premier quality editable oil and banaspati.
WHY REFINE?
It sounds de-nourishing but it is necessary to refine the oil because it contains impurities such as Moisture, Solids (In solubles), Gums (Lecithin), Free-Fatty Acids (FFA), Waxes, and Componds of Sodium, Potassiumm Magnesium, Calcium, and other metals. These impurities need to be removed to make the oil healthy for us.
PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS
All the products are manufactured in a safe and hygienic environment at M.M. Oil Mills & M.M. Ghee Mill, Port Qasim. The refinery and its premises are ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 9001:2015 Certified by Bureau Veritas Belgium. The products, packing material and the premises are halal certified under Pakistan Standard for Halal Food Management System (PS3733:2019 P-2)
The oil is refined on a Swedish refinery by Alfa Laval. The entire process is fully automatic with zero human-interaction. Special attention is paid to the safety and well-being of the work-force in compliance with ILO laws and regulations. From in-take of raw-oil to delivery on customer door-steps, every product goes through our internal compliance framework specially developed to ensure our high quality standards.
